Morningstar Animal Rescue & Referral is a 501 c 3 non profit organization devoted to helping dogs in need. Our rescue is small but we help what we can - purebreeds, mixed breeds, big, small, etc. We gladly accept monetary, food, crates, fencing and treat donations.  Donations can be mailed or delivered to 1626 Bees Creek Rd., Ridgeland, SC 29936.  We can also pick up donations if within a reasonable distance.

Featured pet *** Susie ***

Susie is an 11 1/2 year old Wirehaired Dachshund with an overbite and "mohawk". She lost her home when her owner passed away. Susie was on the heavy side when we took her in and we are glad to report she has lost over 3 lbs so far which has given her more energy. She is a healthy senior who loves to go for walks, eat and hang out with her human. Susie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is being fostered in Ridgeland, SC. Her adoption fee is $150.
